 PARENTING

Do you worry about what you hear from your child’s teachers? Do you wonder if you need to know more about what they say is happening to your child?

Are they asking for evaluations? Suggesting medication or parenting classes? Do you hold your breath when you see the school’s name on your caller ID?

Do find yourself upset that children do not come with a user’s manual?

Do you punish or praise? Do you drug test or trust? Do you believe the teacher or your child?

Do you wish you had a professional guide to help you through this maze called parenting? I can be that guide.

When you need a resource to understand it, to find your way thorough it, don’t hesitate to call. I’d love to hear your story.

Do you worry whether there was a thorough enough evaluation before they came up with a diagnosis and prescribed medication?

Would you like to try other options first before considering medication? Or look at other possibilities before accepting a diagnosis or prognosis?

Are well intentioned family and friends just confusing your more, offering as many conflicting opinions as do the physicians and educators?

Don’t keep trying to do it all yourself anymore. Let’s work together.

Get the support that you need from someone who knows: two experts working together for one child.

I have an ADHD son now in college, an ADD daughter who has dyslexia in middle school, an ADD husband who is a teacher, and a Masters Degree in psychology with over twenty years experience.

I have faced these challenges, struggled through and learned from them and now I would like to help you to do the same.

Do all the terms confuse and offend you: opposition, defiant, withdrawn, hyper, in-attentive, not living up to her potential, too smart for his own good, could do better?

Behavior management, development, learning theory, it is all important to parenting a challenging and spirited child and I can teach it to you as you need it.

Do you feel that your child’s future is affected by every decision that you make?

Don’t put it off another day. Get some of the answers that you need.

Be informed. Get the support and perspective that you need.
